Traveling Minstrels Update: The Electric Cool-Aid ACIDIC Tour!

Traveling Minstrels

Howdy all!

Well, 2014 for ACIDIC officially begins – TONIGHT! As of this writing, the boys are in Springfield Oregon at the Whisky River Saloon! They’re backstage, waiting for their big moment. Tonight, they take the stage as tour headliners for the first time! Dig the Kid is supporting.

The tour is inspired by a book by journalist-author Tom Wolfe “The Electric Kool-aid Acid Test” – a particular favorite of several folks in the ACIDIC inner circle. The book is a late-60s-era chronicle of writer Ken Kesey and his Merry Pranksters. But instead of those folks with their adventures in their wildly-colored old school bus named “Further,” we here have ACIDIC in their trusty Sprinter, the Gray Whale. Michael Gossard, Matt Whitaker, and Josh Bennett are joined by new bass player Max Myrick, and they’re all fired up!

A very happy Max checked in, just a couple of hours before showtime, where they were just chilling before their set starts. He’s feeling great – “oh my lord it’s awesome!”

They left L.A. this morning just after midnight, and headed north.
