ACIDIC is an amazing young L.A. band playing original alt/rock music, that you really must see live.
Battle-of-the-Bands judges have characterized lead singer/guitarist Michael Gossard as a front man "larger than life."
Seventeen-year-old Mike has known bassist/vocalist Ted Dubrawski since they were kids at the same elementary school. Ted, who's 19, is an accomplished surfer and is enrolled in the prestigious Musicians Institute where he's learning be a "luthier" - a craftsman who builds guitars.
Twenty-year-old drummer Matt Whitaker is a cancer survivor, having beaten childhood leukemia when he was seven. He's a sophomore at LMU.
Guitarist/vocalist Michael Thompson is 20 and officially the eldest of the group - by about a month. He's currently taking classes at L.A. Pierce College. |

ACIDIC puts on a muscular stage show with catchy, memorable songs, compelling vocals, and power riffs that make you want to floor it if you're driving! Fans and music critics alike agree that they're one band that simply must be seen live. They are sponsored by Minarik Guitars, Souldier Straps, and Stash Picks. They were named the Whisky a Go Go's LA Weekly Band-of-the-Month in March 2010.
ACIDIC has a new 12-song CD release, "Getting Lucky," produced by the Wizardz Of Oz producing team, who've worked with Liz Phair, Jason Mraz, Hawk Nelson, and Hillary Duff, and helped launch Avril Lavigne. ACIDIC's first album, released in 2009, is "Ironic Dreams" available for purchase here.
ACIDIC's latest performing coups include playing SXSW 2010 in Austin, TX, the Western Fairs Assn convention in Reno, NV, Michele Clark's Sunset Sessions in San Diego, CA, and the Main Stage at Bamboozle Left 2009 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA. They shared the proceeds of their CD sales at that event with the One Love for Chi Foundation: OneLoveForChi.com to help defray the costs of medical care for Deftones bass player Chi Cheng, who was seriously injured in a car accident in 2008. (music influences) ACIDIC's bandmembers are actively involved in charity work through their own charity effort, "Help Us Help." |
